The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human body, in diet and the cause and prevention of disease.

THOMAS EDISON

what is functional medicine?

Functional medicine is a science-backed approach to holistic medicine that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. For example, one symptom or condition such as anxiety can have many root causes (a nutrient deficiency, HPA axis issues, hormone imbalance, thyroid dysfunction, trauma, stress, gut issues, chronic viruses, and/or toxin overload, etc.) or one cause such as inflammation can contribute to many chronic medical conditions (diabetes,  heart disease, arthritis, or cancer, etc.).

We spend time with our patients understanding your genetics, history, lifestyle, and goals. We utilize diagnostic testing that other doctors may not consider, so you get in-depth information about your health and body.

We utilize the best tools and techniques of conventional medicine alongside lifestyle changes like nutrition, exercise, stress management & relationships, sleep, and supplements to target the drivers of disease. As a patient in our office you may be prescribed medication or supplements in the form of herbs or nutrients to restore health. Our patients also work alongside health coaches and their medical provider to reach healthcare goals.

Once an initial visit has been scheduled, you will complete extensive medical history and medical symptom questionnaires NO later than 48 hours prior to your scheduled office visit - please allot 1 hour for completion on a desktop or laptop computer. The initial office visit will take around 75 minutes, during this we will review health history and health concerns, determine the necessary laboratory studies or bloodwork to identify the root cause(s), and discuss a collaborative care plan. After the first visit, a follow-up appointment is scheduled to review test results and progress with the care plan created during the initial meeting. Each patient in our office is paired 1:1 with a health coach to address nutrition recommendations, mindfulness practices, stress management techniques and exercise suggestions. We also host a variety of monthly group class events to complement our patients' progress with their care plan.

Our initial office visit consists of a 1 hour visit dedicated to identifying your health concerns, reviewing your medical history, lab records, and diagnostics, and determining the most appropriate plan to identify root causes of your concerns. We will determine what laboratory tests and diagnostics may be appropriate to your start of care. You can use insurance for labs and diagnostics. The initial office visit fee is $379. We offer a monthly membership to continue care for as low as $175 a month and this includes all office visits, discounts on services and supplements in the clinic, 1:1 Health Coaching, and unlimited group health coaching classes. Without the membership follow up visits are $349.

Medical office visits are not billed through insurance, but you can use your insurance for lab studies and diagnostics. You can also use HSA/FSA funds here in the clinic.
