My adventure began with a Master’s degree in Nursing Education, driven by my desire to understand the intricacies of learning and motivation. I absolutely love teaching, and this degree equipped me to be the best at educating and empowering my patients. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in academic settings and guiding nursing teams in corporate America, but my heart longed for the direct patient care that makes a real difference.

To fulfill this calling, I pursued a second Master’s degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, enabling me to care for patients of all ages.

As a Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner, I have the privilege of dedicating quality time to my patients, exploring their personal histories to uncover the root causes of chronic diseases. Functional Medicine aims to restore health by addressing the underlying causes of illness. By considering factors such as genetics, lifestyle, environment, and emotional well-being, we can create personalized treatment plans that promote true healing.

China with clients worldwide to support mental health and spiritual development. In the past seven years, Joy received training in Transpersonal Psychology in Germany (the International Institute for Consciousness Exploration and Psychotherapy) and Florida. She had experiences running breathwork in Utah and China and had fantastic feedback from her students. With her unique Eastern background, Joy brings the best of Eastern to Western psychotherapy in her work.
